History of Insulin Infographic
Objective
Create an infographic showcasing something you are passionate about, use layout, imagery, color, and typography to showcase the subject, show facts and figures. Should be easily understandable at a glance and have depth for those that read further. All graphics must be made in Illustrator and should reflect the topic of the infographic.
Solution
I chose to do this infographic on the history of insulin because I am diabetic and it is something that I have a personal connection with. I began with choosing colors, the symbol for Type 1 diabetes is a blue ring, I took the blue from that ring and used a compound color scheme off of that to determine the main colors for the infographic. For font I chose something sans-serif that wouldn’t overtake the main purpose of the design which is to inform. I completed all of the illustration in Illustrator and did the layout in InDesign.
