Crafted Caffeine
Objective
Create a Logo and packaging for a small boutique coffee company. The designs should be reminiscent of 1800s designs with a modern twist. Create packaging and merchandise using the logo and graphics that fit with the theme of the company.
Solution
I started this project with an idea for the logo, using the coffee bean as the main component and building off of it. The weathered look on the text and bean reflect the idea that this is a company that could have existed in the 1800s, I used a decorative font for both the company name and the “Premium Roasted Coffee” to again play to the idea of old logos like those of Coca-Cola and Levi Strauss. I created a coffee bag that shows the logo and a graphic showing an old coffee pot and coffee beans. I then created the canned coffee, using the word “Crafted” in both to keep the company in the forefront. I then created merchandise for the company including coffee mugs, sweaters, shirts, and crewnecks.
