Create a booklet that explains an environmental issue, use imagery to convey the issue and give information about the issue and possible solutions. The layout should be simple and easily understandable, make sure readability and legibility are maintained throughout. Include a die cut,
Solution
For my environmental issue I chose light pollution. I am very interested in space and stargazing, and the effects of light pollution are detrimental to that, through my research I learned that it can also be a big issue to a lot of species that rely on the moon and stars, such as baby sea turtles that use the moon to find the ocean after hatching, light pollution can confuse them and there have been many cases of them wandering into traffic. For my imagery I wanted to convey the stark difference between a light polluted sky and one that is clear, I took multiple images of different levels of pollution and melded them together in Photoshop to showcase the change over the interior spreads. For the die cut i wanted to show the moon through the front page to further my message. I went with a simple sans-serif font to not take attention away from the information.
